(updated 8-28-24)   Celebrate the the start of the School Year and all of the ministries of B’ville First UMC on Sunday, September 8. Enjoy a delicious Ice Cream Sundae and take a peek at all the ministries of BFUMC at our Sundae Sunday First Fest in the dining room and multi-purpose room on Sunday, September 8. First Fest began 17 years ago as a way of celebrating our ministries. Grab your sundae (and maybe a cookie or two) and visit all of the different tables that represent the different studies, groups, events, and ministries of our church. The event is hosted by Congregational Care & Family Ministries to help us all get a fresh, and maybe even first look at the ministries at First UMC. Be the first in line at First Fest!  
Bring your backpacks on September 8. Bring your backpacks for a special blessing for a special “back to school” blessing and receive our “Back to School” blessing kit during our morning Worship at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 8.

Confirmation Delayed until Winter/Spring.  Our Confirmation program for 2024-2025 has been re-scheduled to begin in winter/spring of 2025, with Confirmation planned for Sunday, June 8, 2025. We will follow a similar format as our original plan, with a weekend retreat that will include several learning stations, followed by a few different weeks that include small groups, a field trip, and involvement in other ministry projects. 

Eureka! at the Movies

“Where the Crawdad Sings”         Tuesday, September 24 at 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

In September, the book club goes to the movies! We will watch and discuss “Where the Crawdad Sings, based on the best-selling book of the same name by Delia Owens. The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith, and Harris Dickinson. The film is PG-13, length: 2 hrs, 15 mins.
