(updated 4-25-24) “I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:1-5 NRSV
It is a VERY exciting time to be part of the church family in the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church! Our Sunday morning worship is alive with the sounds of praise – our choir, our bells, our beautiful inspiring children! This past year, 2023, was a year of recovery and new adventures.

Men's Discussion Group

Tuesdays at 6:30 PM  The "Acts of the Apostles" will be discussed. We shall follow the journeys and activities of the Apostles, primarily focusing on the missionary efforts of Peter and Paul. We will learn the details of the early spread of Christianity, the conversion of Gentiles, and the challenges faced by the early Christian community, providing insights into the growth and establishment of the Church in the years following the crucifixion of Jesus. The purpose of this study is to know God better. From this we will glean insights into how we too can be a more effective part in spreading the Word of God to others in Baldwinsville and beyond.  Additional information: David Horan (315-638-2407), George Ramseyer (315-720-6184).

Eureka! Book Club ~ Our May selection:

Rescue Story: Faith, Freedom, and Finding My Way Home by Zach Williams.  Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. – Carrie Foster will lead us through this book by Christian Music star Zach Williams. From amazon:
Before two-time GRAMMY Award winner Zach Williams penned heartfelt, faith-filled ballads like "Chain Breaker," "There Was Jesus (featuring Dolly Parton)," and "Fear Is a Liar," there was darkness. A rock-and-roll singer who thought he had all he ever wanted to make him happy, Zach instead felt empty. The drugs, alcohol, and late-night gigs played around the world couldn't satisfy the longing in his heart for a place to belong. He was desperate for change.

BFUMC & BNS Memorial Day Parade

BFUMC and BNS are participating in this year’s Memorial Day Parade ~~ Thursday, May 30 at 6:00 p.m.  For the second year, we will have a float in the Memorial Day Parade with the Baldwinsville Nursery School. We are handing out red, white & blue leis at the parade. We’re also having a picnic (hot dogs, chips & drinks) at the church immediately following the parade to feed participants. We need: cash donations for leis;  help cooking hotdogs and serving after parade;  participants on float/walking route/handing out leis. If you would like to help with any of these things, please see Pastor Jeff, Janet Brooks or Bethany Denniston or leave a message in the church office.
