Baldwinsville Community Food Pantry

As we approach the holiday season, the Baldwinsville Community Food Pantry continues to serve the hunger needs of people residing in the Baldwinsville School District.  When the pantry began 41 years ago, it provided meals for only 1 or 2 families per month.  Currently, we fulfill requests for approximately 150-160 families per month, which amounts to about 4,800 individual meals.  The requests vary depending on the time of year and changes in the economy.
The Baldwinsville Community Food Pantry is awarded a small grant from the CNY Food Bank each year, providing those funds are available.  The remaining funding for the pantry comes from the generosity of the Baldwinsville community.  Our expenses are averaging over $7,000.00 per month.
We are seeking monetary donations from those who would be willing to help the residents of our community who are in need.  All donations go directly toward purchasing food for the clients who use our pantry. Your charitable tax donation can be made to… Baldwinsville Community Food Pantry, 17 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville, NY   13027
The pantry is housed free of charge at the First United Methodist Church and is staffed solely by volunteers from our community.  If you would like to see how the food pantry operates, please feel free to contact either of us (315-635-6442) and we would be glad to make arrangements for this to happen.
For those who have contributed in the past, a very special thank you.  For those wishing to make a contribution this year, we thank you in advance!
Personal regards, Sally Dayger, Barbara Stowe, Volunteer Coordinators
